Hannibal 2015

Hannibal 2015

Quick Overview

Originally inspired by the classic taste and palate of Italian wines, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo grape varieties were first imported in 1989. Twelve years later, our highly successful Hannibal blend was launched. Named for the African elephants that crossed the Alps under the command of the Carthaginian general two thousand years ago, Hannibal captures the synergy between Africa, Italy and France.

A regal vintage with superior grapes from a bountiful harvest, Hannibal brings bright fruit with firm acidity to the palate. It’s a taut wine with more than adequate tannin structure. Black plum and strawberry undertones are followed by subtle hints of French oak barrel maturation.
Hannibal is deliciously paired with red meat, Italian cuisine and rich cheese.
