In blending the Tête de Cuvée the winemaker meticulously sample each barrel of the vintage, selecting only those that offer a perfect expression of the Hemel-en-Aarde’s unique terroir. The result? A Pinot Noir quite unlike any other. The Tête de Cuvée Pinot Noir speaks to a sense of place; offering a wine that is exuberant in youth, with the structure and complexity to improve over years of cellar maturation.
MISSIONVALE CHARDONNAY
A perfect expression of the Hemel-en-Aarde terroir, the Missionvale Chardonnay is produced exclusively from grapes grown and harvested on the estate, taking advantage of the valley’s cool maritime climate to produce a Chardonnay that balances textbook minerality and citrus notes on a foundation of well-integrated oak richness. Fermented and aged in both oak barrels and terracotta amphorae, it’s a fine example of the ongoing innovation in the Bouchard Finlayson cellar.
